Press Release: COVID-19 Stay at Home Order and Easter Holiday

Date: 04/09/2020

In observance of Good Friday and Easter, the Town of North Topsail Beach will be closed on Friday, April 10th and Monday April 13th. With the holiday weekend fast approaching, we would like to take the opportunity to again ask all residents and property owners to respect and follow the travel restrictions and guidelines outlined in the Governor’s “Stay At Home” order. We request that you stay at your primary place of residence until further guidance is provided and our state leaders deem it safe to travel.

The threat of wide spread transmission of the COVID-19 virus is real, and we are appealing to our friends and family members whose primary residences are outside of North Topsail Beach to respect our State of Emergency declaration and suspend all non-emergency travel to and from our town. Your cooperation will go a long way toward “flattening the curve” and will help keep North Topsail Beach residents safe from this pandemic. The Board of Aldermen and town staff constantly review our local restrictions and will modify or eliminate them as soon as the situation allows.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this unprecedented crisis, and urge you to follow the established safety guidelines – wash your hands, use hand sanitizer, avoid touching your face, maintain appropriate social distance, and wear a mask to protect yourself and those around you.
