Equipment Operator

Public Works

Full Time Position

Pay $25,000.00 - $30,700.00 with benefits

Pay will be based on experience in heavy equipment operation, grass cutting , vehicle maintenance and other duties required.

High School Diploma / GED required

Shall be in good physical health for the work environment

Shall be able to lift min. 50 lbs.

Shall possess a valid North Carolina Driver License

Shall be willing to work overtime when needed

Shall be required to obtain an Mosquito/Pesticides License within one year

Town of North Topsail Beach 

Reserve Police Officer 

Positions Available



The Town of North Topsail Beach Police Department seeks reserve police officers to perform general law enforcement duties to include, but not limited to:  Investigating traffic collisions, answering general calls for service and complaints, protecting life and property, enforcing traffic and criminal laws and ordinances, preventing and investigating criminal activity, testifying in court, performing related work as required, and writing detailed and factual reports.


Reserve police positions are eligible for hourly compensation upon successful completion of the department’s field training program.  The department recruits heavily from the reserve program to fill full-time positions as they become available.


Completion of high school/GED; NC Basic Law Enforcement Certification; Possession of a valid NC driver’s license, willing to work rotating shifts; Possession of basic computer skills needed to support job functions; Ability to represent the town in a professional and respectful manner, while interacting with all members of our community and within the workplace.


Positions open until filled.  Applicants will need to complete the Town of North Topsail Beach’s employment application, along with the State of NC F3.  Further, applicants will need to complete the Authorization for Release of Personal Information form.  Applicants will be subject to a rigorous background check and may be required to complete additional screenings as deemed necessary for employment.
